Idaho driver's license practice test app now available

A free mobile app from the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) is now available to test your knowledge of the rules of the road. The app is a practice test, which consists of 32 multiple choice questions, and provides results as soon as the test is completed.

“Even though these are not the exact questions from the knowledge test, this will help people study the Driver’s License Manual to be able to pass the actual test,” said Debra Hall, driver’s license program supervisor.

This app is a direct result of public feedback received by ITD. The practice test is different each time because the questions are pulled randomly from a large question bank.

“This mobile app is a fun way to test your knowledge, even if you are a seasoned driver and don’t need to take the licensing test,” said Ed Pemble, ITD Driver Services Manager.

The app is available for Apple, Android and Windows mobile devices. Just search “Idaho Driver’s License Practice Test” in your app store.

An electronic version of the Idaho Driver’s Manual is available in English and Spanish on the ITD Driver Services website, located at www.itd.idaho.gov/dmv .

Hard copies of the Idaho Driver’s Manual are also available at each Driver’s License office.
