Aviation Safety Standdown scheduled for Oct. 17 in Boise

Aviation professionals including pilots, owners, technicians and managers are encouraged to attend Idaho’s first-ever Aviation Safety Standdown.

Sponsored by the Idaho Division of Aeronautics, the free seminar will include discussions about avoiding safety risks, enhancing current procedures and processes and improving individual safety behavior. Breakout-sessions and interactive hands-on training is also scheduled.

National experts will also be in attendance, in addition to speaker Dr. Antonio Cortes, of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

The seminar is scheduled for Oct. 17, 2014 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Boise's Linen Building. A limited number of seats are available. A free continental breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m.
