District 5’s Krantz recognized for outstanding service, response

The Blackfoot City Transportation Commission recently recognized District 5 traffic engineer Corey Krantz for a quick and thorough response to a question of traffic signals and flow. The commission is a citizen advisory group appointed by the city council.

Marc Carroll of the commission said that he approached Krantz just a few days ago in regard to traffic lights on Idaho 91 at the Judicial and Bridge Street intersections.

During the conversation, Krantz mentioned that he'd have a department electrician troubleshoot the issue.

"I received a voice mail from Corey this evening, in which he said the electrician discovered a problem with the signal-controller buttons inside the door to the control box on one light and a locked-down processor on the other light," said Carroll in an e-mail Tuesday evening.

"Appropriate repairs and adjustments were made and the lights now seem to be working correctly."

"Many thanks to Corey for his prompt attention to our concern! Ya talk about extreme customer service, and the name Corey Krantz comes up!" Carroll added.
