Bathrick named new Public Transportation manager

Mark Bathrick was recently selected to lead ITD’s Public Transportation Section within Contracting Services. He took over leadership of the section Nov. 10. The newly formed section is responsible for many activities previously managed by the former Division of Transportation Performance (DTP).

Bathrick holds both a Bachelor of Science degree in political science and a Master of Public Administration degree from Boise State University. He had worked in the DTP where he developed the performance management program for Public Transportation and facilitated progress within the Interagency Working Group.

While his most recent work was in the Mobility Services Section, Bathrick also served as freight coordinator and developed the annual freight program.

Bathrick said that he was excited about his new job and looking forward to the challenge.

“Public transportation has a unique opportunity to advance ITD’s core strategic mission of Safety – public transportation continues to be one of the safest modes of transportation; Mobility – provides access to services for all Idahoans; and Economic Opportunity – job access and business growth, “ he said.

“I look forward to working with our many customers and partners both internally and externally as we build the public transportation program at ITD.”
