District 3’s road-clearing efforts publicly recognized
ITD takes great pride in clearing the roads and ensuring safe travel for area motorists. It is one of our key performance measures, and an area in which the department consistently excels.
Those efforts are not always recognized, but Connie Behee, for one, notices:
On Nov. 24 Behee sent a handwritten note to Michael Garz, District 3’s Maintenance Manager, complimenting the road crew for “the wonderful job removing snow and ice from our state highways.”
“My home is near State and Collister and when I drive west on State it is very obvious that state maintenance takes over at Glenwood. The difference is remarkable and greatly appreciated,” she added.
