When ITD and the Idaho State Police buried two time capsules on Dec. 9, 1988, commemorating the Idaho Centennial (1890-1990) and the University of Idaho’s 100-year anniversary (1889-1989), one was to be opened on Dec. 9, 2014. The other was to remain intact until 2090.

The 25-year capsule was opened right on schedule and the pictures of people found inside were published in last week’s Transporter. This week, everyone is invited to take a look at what else was found inside. Items included official communications, hats, license plates, a sample driver's license and vehicle titles, brochures, newpaper articles, some ISP memorabilia and a package of very rotten micro-wave popcorn. Below are pictures of items found in the capsule.
