District 1 staff thanked for bridge lighting

At the Idaho Transportation Board’s meeting in Coeur d’Alene in July 2013, Oldtown Mayor Lonnie Orr made public a request for lighting on the Idaho 41 railroad bridge in town.  By early December, his request had been fulfilled.

Orr sent a note to ITD in mid-December. His note is seen below:

“Our staff did a yeoman’s job of working with the railroad — Burlington Northern — and the utility and getting essentially a temporary lighting arrangement up there at relatively low cost until the permanent bridge project comes,” said District Engineer Damon Allen.
