ITD praised in Governor’s State of the State, Spotlight Agency

Getting from Point A to Point B – transportation – is central to all on a daily basis.Whether it’s commuting to and from work, hauling goods, traveling to visit family or friends, or recreating in one of Idaho’s many scenic locations, chances are very good it involved Idaho’s transportation infrastructure at some point along the way.

With that knowledge as the backdrop, Governor C.L. "Butch" Otter announced that finding additional revenue to maintain our roads and bridges and build needed new infrastructure as the state grows should be of primary concern for lawmakers in the upcoming session.

He further announced that ITD is one of the best-run transportation departments in the nation. This place of prominence was then underscored in the governor’s own newsletter, where the Agency Spotlight shone on ITD.
