ITD employees take part in Safety Fest

Idaho Transportation Department employees participated in three days of safety- and health-training courses as part of the 10th Safety Fest of the Great Northwest seminar Jan. 20-23. Hundreds of people from across the state attended.

Hosted in Boise, and sponsored in part by ITD, the Idaho Associated General Contractors, Norco, Idaho Power and many other Idaho companies and agencies, the event offered some 60 classes covering a wide range of topics that focused on boosting safety in the workplace or work zone, and meeting OSHA requirements.

Beyond classroom time, Safety Fest also included a trade show and safety demonstrations, bingo, and of course, plenty of CPR/First Aid Courses.
