Learn basic guidelines for doing business with the government at free workshops in eastern and south-central Idaho March 10-13. The workshops are detailed below:

These half-day workshops will provide participants new information, along with an overview on bidding with ITD, requirements for bidding as a federal contractor, and services available, such as free bid-matching and help responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from the Idaho Procurement Technical Assistance Center. The program will feature presenters from the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD), U.S. Small Business Administration, the U.S. Forest Service, Idaho Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), U.S. Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Bureau of Reclamation.

Participants will learn how to find government projects that are out for bid, required licenses and registrations, and the differences between state and federal contracting.

Other topics to be covered include the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program, 8(a) Business Development Program, HUBZone Certification, Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) other business certifications and where to go for assistance.
