Service awards season begins March 25 with Headquarters’ honorees

An effective transportation system requires the talents of a diverse group of people committed to making the Idaho Transportation Department the best transportation department in the country.

Each day, ITD employees throughout Idaho work hard to make the state’s transportation system the best that it can be, often with little fanfare or recognition.

Service awards are one way that employees may be recognized for their contributions to ITD’s mission of safety, mobility and economic opportunity.

An awards ceremony, honoring years of service for Headquarters’ employees, will be held Wednesday, March 25. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m., as part of the Idaho Transportation Board’s regular monthly meeting. Awards will be presented to 49 Headquarters’ employees who have reached milestones ranging from five years to 35 years.

Preparations for similar ceremonies are underway in ITD’s district offices. District 1 is planning an Employee Appreciation Barbecue in May. District 2’s annual service awards ceremony is currently scheduled for Employee Appreciation Week, May 4-8.

District 3 has not announced a date for its ceremony, but District 4 is planning an awards ceremony and luncheon for Thursday, April 9, beginning at noon.

Ceremonies are planned for May in District 5 and April in District 6.
