Newcomer Stanley pulls away in D4 Equipment Roadeo One rookie and three former D4 Equipment Roadeo winners will represent the district at the state event in June. First-time competitor Burton Stanley took the top spot after finishing in the top three of each of four scoring events at the district roadeo on May 13 at the Twin Falls Maintenance Shed. Stanley, from the Stanley shed, finished with the top average in the snowplow event, third in the loader event, tied for first in the truck inspection and was among a large group to miss only one question in the written exam. Stanley is the only D4 representative that will be making an initial trip to the state competition, June 9 in Pocatello. He will be joined by the past two D4 winners and a frequent foreman-division winner. Twin Falls’ Jason Fisher will return to the state roadeo with a second-place finish after posting the top finish in the loader events and fifth best in snowplow. Fisher was the D4 champion in 2013 and just missed a state berth in 2014 with a fifth-place finish. Defending D4 champion Sarah Wooley finished third with high average scores in both the loader and snowplow events. This is her third trip to the state roadeo in four years, matching a 2012 third-place finish. Pictured right: left to right - Tony Rigby, Burton Stanley, Jason Fisher, and Sarah Wooley.
