District 5 family celebrates year of achievements

The foremen and managers in District 5 hosted their annual employee appreciation event Thursday morning, May 28. The District provided brunch for employees at the Pocatello maintenance shop, with about 115 of the 145 employees in attendance.

“Every year it's a chance for us to recognize the achievements of our employees, and more importantly, their ‘can-do’ positive attitudes,” explained District Engineer Ed Bala.

The event is usually held earlier in May, but was postponed this year due to the foreman’s conference in the first week of May and the ITD Board meeting mid-month.

Bala also was quite impressed with the hashbrown artwork done by District Operations Engineer Steve Gertonson.
