Post Falls DMV praised for service

Although ITD employees do not work at the county Division of Motor Vehicle (DMV) offices, they maintain a close working relationship with the folks who occupy those seats.  The public also sees them as one and the same. William and Janice Ellison are no exception to that rule.

The Ellisons sent a letter to ITD in late June about the customer-service focus evident in the Post Falls DMV.

“After living in three states (Montana, California and Nevada) before moving to Idaho, I can honestly say that the Post Falls office of the DMV has the best informed, nicest people I have ever come across in a DMV.

The attitude in Nevada is 'go away.'
The attitude in California is 'how can we make your life a living Hell?'
The attitude in Montana is 'how can we do the absolute minimum to help you?'
The attitude in Post Falls, Idaho is 'how can we get this done for you?'

We are antique-boat collectors and car collectors, so we have had many experiences with titling and registration in this office. Barb, Kelly and all of the staff members there have always been so helpful that I have to remind myself where I am. Some of the registrations were difficult because of age, missing paperwork, etc. Never have I left that office feeling frustrated that no one there has a clue.

The opposite is true. They all want to do their jobs correctly and help you as best they can. I appreciate the effort and the training behind this excellent level of service. These people really do go above and beyond the call of duty for people. Rare!!

I noticed the intent to raise vehicle registration fees effective July 1, 2015.  I will gladly pay the additional fees in gratitude for such a wonderful DMV.”
