Public transportation group hosts PTAC conference call Friday, Nov. 20

Reviewing applications for a new member of the Public Transportation Advisory Council (PTAC) to represent eastern Idaho and a format for the group’s annual funding report, and discussion of the yearly PTAC presentation to the Idaho Transportation Board will be topics of a statewide conference call Friday, Nov. 20.

The Idaho Transportation Department’s Public Transportation Group will host the conference call, which is meant to resolve pending items from PTAC’s quarterly meeting held Nov. 12.

Planned for 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. (MST), the conference-call meeting is open to the public and may be accessed by calling toll-free 855-797-9485 or, with charges, 415-655-0002. Use attendee access code 44201343.

The PTAC was created to advise the transportation department on issues related to public transportation. Per Idaho Code, the council participates in planning activities, identifies transportation needs and promotes coordinated transportation systems. It is composed of six members, one representing each of ITD’s administrative districts.
