Victory named ITD’s new chief information officer

Chris Victory was recently announced as the Idaho Transportation Department’s chief information officer. Victory, who is finishing up his current job in the United Kingdom, will return to Boise in March and join ITD in his new capacity on April 11.

Victory will report to the chief administrative officer and have responsibility for technology at ITD. ITD’s Enterprise Technology Services team members will report to him.

Victory is currently completing his contract assignment with AECOM.  He has more than 20 years of experience in senior Information Technology leadership roles across multiple industries, including engineering, construction and manufacturing. He has expertise in providing executive vision, leadership and support for developing and implementing information technology with a strong software engineering, operational management and complex project/program management background.

“Chris recognizes how important the work we do is, and he is excited to be bringing his family home to the Treasure Valley and joining the ITD team,” said ITD Chief Administrative Officer Charlene McArthur in announcing the hire. “He felt very comfortable with the team members during his day-and-a-half visit in early January.”

Commenting on his selection, Chris said "The Idaho Transportation Department plays a crucial role in safely and securely managing Idaho's transportation system.  I am delighted to join the ITD Senior Leadership Team to progress the mission of your safety, your mobility, and your economic opportunity as effectively and efficiently as possible on behalf of the state of Idaho."
