Bathrick keynotes opening of CTAI annual conference

ITD Public Transportation Manager Mark Bathrick was the keynote speaker Feb. 23 for the Community Transit Association of Idaho’s 2016 Annual Conference Idaho Transportation Moving Forward.

Bathrick’s presentation, titled “Public Transportation in Idaho: Building a Solid Foundation for a Mobile Future,” discussed the successes of the previous year, and laid out Bathrick’s six principals for building a successful organizational foundation.

Proactive Leadership
Essential Communication
Structure and Consistency
Attention to Detail
Accountability
Tangible Deliverables

The event featured more than 70 attendees representing transit agencies, local stakeholders and interest groups involved in the public transportation community throughout Idaho.

ITD’s Public Transportation grant officers also hosted sessions on the department’s public transportation strategic programs, and a technical-assistance training on the ITD Site Review Program.

The event also featured a breakfast update and question-and-answer session with Bathrick and Federal Transit Authority Regional Administrator Rick Krochalis.
