IT begins district visits in support of department objectives

Chris Victory, the new Chief Information Officer for ITD, will visit each district early this summer to deliver a simple message, fueled by a genuine desire for the improvement of his section. His message: IT can be a valuable partner in the successes of every business group and every internal customer in helping the department achieve its mission.

"We have a vision for where we want to be in the future, and that journey starts now," Victory (pictured left) said. "We can only build trust and relationships by consistently delivering on our promises.

"IT has often been seen as a roadblock or barrier in the past. We understand that. We want to be part of the cultural shift underway at ITD."

Victory's tour is as follows:
June 1 District 1 morning visit, District 2 afternoon visit

June 2 District 6 morning visit, District 5 afternoon visit

The visit to District 4 also will be in June, but the exact date has not yet been set. Victory has already met with District 3.

"From beginning to end, IT wants to be part of the solution. Our internal customers are the most important clients we've got in helping the department achieve its goals. We are moving forward, to be the strongest partner we can be."
