Schiller selected as new Executive Assistant to the Director starting Sept. 25

Beth Schiller, who has worked for the Division of Motor Vehicles as an administrative assistant since June of 2010, will replace Carla Anderson as the new Executive Assistant to the Director starting Sept. 25.

Anderson is retiring Sept. 30 after 26 years with the Idaho Transportation Department.

"Carla provided tremendous customer service for the entire department," ITD Director Brian Ness said. "Beth is an excellent candidate to carry on her legacy."

"I look forward to new challenges and opportunities to contribute positively to ITD, meeting and working with different people, becoming a more well-rounded individual, and of course, working with the director," Schiller explained.

Schiller also said she will miss DMV's people.

"It has been such a wonderful experience," she said. "I grew there, learned a lot, and really enjoyed the family atmosphere. For that reason it is bittersweet."

Ness said Schiller's broad base of experience, along with superior customer-service skills and proven ability to deal with the public in difficult situations helped her rise to the top.

More than 90 candidates applied for the position, and most were from outside the department.

"The fact that an internal candidate was chosen is a tribute to the quality of employees we have at ITD and that we continue to help each other get better," Ness explained.
