Grangeville paving work praised by locals A letter was sent to Knife River Corp.’s South Idaho headquarters in Boise at the end of August from Sam & Carol Yalbow of Grangeville, praising the contractor for the recent repaving done on U.S. 95 from W. South 1st Street to Johnston Road, and on Grangeville Main Street (Idaho 13). The letter typified public sentiment ITD has heard regarding the job. The projects benefitted the public by extending pavement life, improving 11 curb ramps, replacing culverts, and upgrading multiple signs. District 2’s Stencil & Striping Crew, led by foreman Rod Parsells, applied new pavement markings and striping once the roadwork was completed. This $2.3 million project began in late May and finished in early September.
