Employee
service awards to be presented March 23
ITD employees will be
honored for outstanding service to the department and citizens
of Idaho as part of an Employee Service Awards ceremony March
23 in the auditorium at Headquarters. In addition to honoring
employees who have achieved longevity milestones, several
special awards will be presented, including Maintenance Person
of the Year, Safety Person of the Year, and the governor's
Heroes of Hope. Presenters include ITD Director Dave Ekern,
Chief Engineer Jimmy Ross and board member Bruce Sweeney (District
2).
The ceremony will begin

DOROLCO
to sponsor inaugural spring arts & crafts sale
DOROLCO, the transportation department employees organization
at Headquarters, will introduce a new benefit event to help
augment the Food Bank of Idaho's shelves. The inaugural spring
arts & craft sale is planned for Friday, April 23 from
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the lobby at Headquarters. To reserve
a table for the event, contact Trudi at ext. 8277. Table reservations
are due by April 16. The cost is $10 per table. Ten percent
of all sales will go to the Idaho Food Bank.

Course offered on CPR/AED
ITD employees interested in becoming certified
or re-certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automatic
External Defibrillator (CPR/AED) are invited to register for
a March 17th class. The four-hour session will begin at 8
a.m., and conclude at noon in the large conference room at
the District 3 office on Chinden Blvd.
Only 10 openings are available, so interested
individuals are asked to sign up early. Those interested should
complete an ITD-0733 Nomination for In-service Training form
and send it to Human Resource Development. For more information,

NOTE: First Aid certification expires every
three years. CPR and AED certification must be renewed annually.
