ITD riders straddle engines for work commute ITD employees in Coeur d’Alene and Boise took advantage of national Ride Your Bike to Work Day to exercise their Hogs, Hondas, Suzukis and other motorcycles Wednesday. At Headquarters, more than a dozen riders lined their motorcycles in a specially designated parking area early in the morning and then reassembled for a rumble around the main building at noon. A similar number of riders contrated at a central spot at the District 1 office in Coeur d’Alene. The national event is held on the third Wednesday in July to draw attention to the use of motorcycles as alternative transportation. Benefits of riding motorcycles to work often are overlooked – literally and figuratively – by other motorists. Motorcycles:
