Training to improve defensive driving skills will move from the classroom to the Internet on a trial basis as ITD pilots a new on-line option offered through Boise State University. ITD employees in the Boise area now have the option of taking the basic content of the Defensive Driving class over the Internet and completing a proctored exam. The exam will be given after sufficient numbers have completed the instruction and can assemble to take the test. The class is offered free through ITD’s Human Resources Development office. The online version will be evaluated to determine how well it meets instruction needs and whether to continue offering it in the alternative format. Successful completion of the course and passing the test can provide a 3-point reduction on your Idaho Driver’s License record. To register for the class, complete and submit a nomination form (ITD-0733) to Michelle Rowland, 334-8570, or e-mail Michelle Rowland .
