Renewal saves California trip Ed Pemble, Jeanne Purcell, We went to Oakland to purchase a car and drove it back to Boise. Without your help it would have been a much more difficult process. Nancy renewed her license today for eight years. Thanks for your assistance in aid of two grateful Idaho residents. Terry Coffin A signal of cooperation Idaho Transportation Department, On Feb. 16, at 3:15 p.m. a semi truck and trailer hit the traffic control cabinet at Garrity/Franklin and 11th Ave. N in Nampa, destroying it and its contents, leaving the intersection with no traffic control or intersection lighting. At 4:30 p.m. (weekend going-home-time), I called District 9’s signal shop. From that point on they worked very diligently with city staff until the intersection was up and functioning properly (12 a.m.). Without their help and expertise, the city of Nampa would not have been able to accomplish this restoration in such a short period of time. I would also like to extend my appreciation for District 9’s signal shop and the District 3 Traffic Section’s continuing support, expertise and assistance to the city of Nampa and am grateful to have such professional staff to work with.
