An ITD consultant assisting with public involvement on the I-84, Orchard to Gowen project in Boise, recently was awarded the highest honor bestowed by a nationwide professional organization. Lynda Friesz Public Relations, Inc., a Boise-based full-service public relations firm, received a Platinum Award, from the MarCom Awards for the I-84, Orchard to Gowen Hearing Guide, in the category of Brochure/Consumer Awareness. The hearing guide was written and designed as part of the transportation department’s strategy to improve public involvement by providing meaningful information to potential hearing attendees. Linda Friesz also received two gold awards and one honorable mention for work on ITD projects. The gold awards were given for the I-15 Environmental Study Brochure, and the I-84 Karcher Interchange to Five Mile Environmental Study Media Kit. The honorable mention was for the U.S. 95-Council Alternate Route newsletter. The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals. The Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, an organization of several thousand creative professionals, administers the awards. Lynda Friesz Public Relations, Inc. specializes in the research, planning, implementation and evaluation of public relations campaigns for public- and private-sector clients.
