Sweeney chosen board's vice chairman
The Idaho Transportation Board unanimously elected Bruce Sweeney to serve as vice chairman for the coming year when it met Feb. 18 in Boise.
Sweeney replaces District 3 representative Monte McClure who filled the position the past year.
Sweeney also served as the board’s vice chairman in 2007. He has been on the board, representing District 2, since 1998. Prior to that, he was a member of the Idaho Legislature, serving in both the House of Representatives and the Senate.
Sweeney is a Lewiston businessman and pilot. He is the board’s aviation representative. His board term expires on Jan. 31, 2010.
