Road work on I-84 between Jerome and Bliss requires lane restrictions beginning Monday (Sept. 17)
SHOSHONE - Pavement work on two sections of Interstate 84 between Jerome and Bliss begins Monday (Sept. 17), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The fog coat is a procedure to stabilize rock chips placed by a seal coat project last year, and prevent further chip loss during the winter months.
The sections of I-84 between mileposts 137 to 150 and mileposts 157 to 167 will be reduced to one lane in each direction between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. The week-long project is expected to be complete by Sept. 21.
Western Construction of Boise is the contractor on the $100,000 project.
