UPDATE: Public invited to open house on Idaho 39 corridor plan
POCATELLO - The public is invited to comment on preliminary improvement options for the Idaho (State Highway) 39 corridor, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

An open house is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 3, from 5 p.m.  to 8 p.m. at the Aberdeen City Council Chambers, 17 N. Main St.  The project team will also provide information on its initial findings on an Aberdeen alternate route option.

ITD is developing a 20-year plan for the portion of Idaho 39 from North Pleasant Valley Road in Power County, through the city of Aberdeen, to Pingree in Bingham County. Current problems and future needs along the corridor are being considered, as well as potential improvement options that will insure the highway continues to function as a vital link in Idahos highway system.

Corridor plans are developed with local communities to address a variety of issues and alternatives.  This big- picture approach leads to better and more cost-effective solutions.
