The agenda and format are the same for all meetings. Locations and times are:

  • Tue, May 3 Mackay City Hall, 203 S. Main St., 5 7 p.m. A presentation will be made to the Mackay City Council at 7 p.m.

  • Thur. May 12 Cotton Tree Inn (Aspen Room), 420 W. 4th South, Rexburg, 4 7 p.m.

The open houses will provide an overview of the draft corridor plan roadway improvement projects and proposed policy recommendations. Background data such as traffic volumes, accident data and basic environmental scan information developed as part of the planning process will also be available for review.

The EICLP includes the sections of U.S. 93, Idaho 33, Idaho 28, U.S. 20 and U.S. 26 that link Rexburg, Arco, Dubois, Mackay, Challis, Salmon and the Idaho-Montana state line at Lost Trail Pass.

The EICLP process includes an assessment of existing conditions, future demands and the needs of corridor users. The consulting team led by HDR Engineering has gathered and analyzed technical data, evaluated alternatives and integrated public input heard at the first round of pubic open houses, local community project meetings and workshops with local transportation committees and affected agencies. The Plans proposed roadway improvements and policy recommendations address corridor needs over the next 20 years
