Thompson Park Bridge on Idaho 200 in Bonner County to close beginning Oct. 15
COEUR D'ALENE - The Thompson Park Bridge on Idaho 200 in Bonner County will be closed for about six months beginning Oct. 15, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The bridge is located east of Hope and north of Old Samowen Road on Idaho 200. The timber deck, steel truss bridge, built more than 70 years ago, will be torn down and replaced with a new concrete structure. A designated detour route using Denton Road will be in place during the closure.
The project is sponsored by Bonner County and the construction contract will be administered by the transportation department. The contractor for this $1.2 million project is Sletten Construction Inc. of Great Falls, Montana.
