Utility repair work to begin on Government Way Bridge Thursday evening (Oct. 25)
COEUR D'ALENE - Government Way Bridge in Coeur d'Alene will be reduced to one lane in each direction beginning Thursday evening (Oct. 25), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

The lane reduction is necessary while repairs are done to the water main pipeline.

The lane restrictions will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday and last until 6 p.m. Friday (Oct. 26). The bridge may be reduced to one-lane, one-way for brief periods during that time. Flaggers will guide traffic through the work zone. Motorists are urged to use caution as they travel through the work zone area.

The work is being done as part of the original $2.7 million bridge replacement contract with Morgen & Oswood, of Great Falls, Mont.
