Ten Mile Road Overpass to close for repairs Nov. 8
BOISE - The Ten Mile Road Overpass will close to all traffic beginning Nov. 8 while repairs are made to the damaged structure, the Idaho Transportation Department announced. The closure will begin at 9 a.m., following the morning commute.

The closure is expected to last until mid- to late December. Ten Mile Road between Franklin Road and Overland Road will be restricted to local traffic only for the duration of the project.

Two girders on the bridge were struck and damaged by an over-height vehicle last May, causing the overpass to be restricted to one lane of traffic. The overpass must be completely closed to allow significant repair work to damaged areas of the structure.

During removal of the damaged bridge girders and setting of new girders, westbound I-84 traffic will be detoured for two to three nights in mid-November. These dates will be announced as soon as possible, and are dependent on project progression and scheduling issues. The detours will take place between midnight and 4 a.m. Signs will direct motorists through the detour.
