Southbound I-15 offramp at I-86 to be closed Monday for erosion repairs
POCATELLO - Maintenance work to repair erosion damage near the Flying Y in Pocatello Monday will require a one-day detour for southbound Interstate 15 drivers who want to access I-86 westbound, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

Instead of leaving I-5 at the Flying Y, motorists will continue south to exit 71, the Pocatello Creek exit, and head back northbound on I-15 to reach I-86. The detour of about one mile will be in effect all day Monday, starting at about 9 a.m.  to avoid morning commuting traffic. Signs will direct motorists along the detour route.

The I-86 on ramp from I-15 is a single lane. Heavy equipment will be used to repair erosion caused by heavy runoff and rodent activity. Closure of the exit is required to ensure the safety of both workers and the traveling public.
