Full closure on SH-16 between Chinden Boulevard and State Street this Sunday
MERIDIAN — State Highway 16 between Chinden Boulevard and State Street (State Highway 44) will be closed in both directions this Sunday for road repairs.
The Idaho Transportation Department will close the highway from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. to allow maintenance crews to safely remove failing asphalt that has created a bulge in the roadway. The repair will result in a smoother surface for motorists.
Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes during the closure and to check 511.idaho.gov for the latest updates before traveling.
