Ten Mile Road Overpass reopens
BOISE - The Ten Mile Road Overpass reopened to vehicles on Thursday (Jan. 3), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The overpass was struck by an over-height vehicle that was traveling in the westbound lanes of Interstate 84 in early May of 2007, damaging two girders that supported the overpass deck.
Both lanes of the overpass had been closed since Nov. 8 to allow crews to repair the girders. Before Nov. 8, one lane of the overpass was open to northbound and southbound vehicles, with motorists directed across the overpass by a temporary signal light at either end of the overpass.
