Roadway repair work will occur Monday (April 14) on Interstate 90 between Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls
COEUR D'ALENE - Crews will work from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to repair two miles of roadway surface on westbound Interstate 90 on Monday (April 14), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

The interim repairs are necessary because of deteriorated pavement caused by severe winter weather. Work is expected to take one day.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane from the Northwest Boulevard Interchange (milepost 11) to the Huetter Rest Area (milepost 9). The speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph through the work zone. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention as they travel through the work zone area for their own safety and the safety of highway workers.

The westbound lanes will get a new full-width surface early this summer as a continuation of a project that began last year. Approximately 15 miles of I-90 from the Washington State Line through Coeur d'Alene will be resurfaced when the project is completed.
