Lane closure for repairs at Eagle Road/Franklin Road in effect through Wednesday (April 30)
BOISE - Repairs to the Eagle Road/Franklin Road intersection in Meridian are scheduled to last through Wednesday (April 30), causing one lane to close in each direction near the intersection, site of a fatal crash late last week, the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) announced.
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, the right-hand southbound lane of Eagle Road and right-hand eastbound lane of Franklin Road will be closed to replace damaged concrete base and repair the traffic signal on the southeast corner of the intersection.
Environmental clean-up of a diesel spill at the site, a new culvert, and additional work will be done in preparation for pouring concrete.
The concrete will need a week to cure before crews return late next week to finish the signal installation. The signal work next week will be done primarily at night to minimize impact to motorists.
ITD and Ada County Highway District crews are collaborating on the repairs.
