Construction on U.S. 95 in Parma to begin Monday (May 12)
BOISE - Work will begin Monday (May 12) on a project to mill and inlay the pavement through Parma on U.S. 95, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

Crews also will replace curb and gutter and install 7.5-feet-wide sidewalks on both sides of the road from Roswell Street to Fourth Street. Decorative lighting also will be added in that area.

The curb, gutter, sidewalks and lighting are being done with the town's enhancement funds. The mill and inlay of paving are being done with state funds.

The road will remain open at all times, but will have some minor delays throughout the different operations. There are currently three lanes through town, including a center turn lane, so traffic can be moved over as required and the road will remain open.

Flaggers will be on hand to direct traffic. No speed limit reductions are anticipated.

Knife River Construction of Boise is the contractor on this $747,000 project.

Project completion is expected by mid-July.
