New traffic signal at Eagle Road/Franklin Road intersection goes up Wednesday night (May 14)
BOISE - Placement of a new permanent traffic light at the Eagle Road/Franklin Road intersection in Meridian is scheduled for Wednesday night (May 14), the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) announced.

Crews from the Ada County Highway District will replace the temporary traffic signal that has been in operation following a fatal crash about three weeks ago that damaged the existing one. A new pole, arm and signal head will be placed at the intersection.

The work will take place between 11 p.m. Wednesday night and 5 a.m. Thursday morning. Motorists will encounter various lane restrictions, but at least one lane will be open in each direction at all times. The work is being done at night to minimize impacts to motorists.
