Meeting scheduled to discuss downtown Moscow highway projects
MOSCOW - The Idaho Transportation Department will discuss the final design of two downtown Moscow highway projects with the public during an afternoon meeting on Wednesday (June 25).
ITD project managers will explain the projects on Idaho 8 and U.S 95 during an open house from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Council Chamber at Moscow City Hall. The public is encouraged to attend.
An asphalt overlay is planned for U.S. 95 from A Street to Rodeo Drive, and a concrete intersection will be built at D Street. The other project will expand Idaho 8 from to two lanes to three between Veatch Street and White Place. It also will include new curbs, gutters and a storm drain system, replacement of the city water line and service connections.
Business owners/operators and the public will have an opportunity to view the proposed construction phases, see how traffic will be detoured during those phases and provide comments on the plans.
