Sign bridge repair near Lewiston city limits set for Monday (July 7)
LEWISTON - Lewiston-area motorists should expect short delays on U.S. 95 beginning at 6 a.m. Monday (July 7) while crews repair an overhead sign bridge at milepost 311 near the east city limits of Lewiston, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

The repair work is necessary because the sign was damaged when it was hit by an over-height truckload, according to Dave Couch, ITD District 2 traffic engineer.

Intermittent closures of that section of U.S. 95 will begin at 6 a.m. on Monday. Repairs are expected to take most of the day. Drivers should watch for flaggers and expect 20-minute delays.

ITD and the Idaho State Police warn motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for driving information on the state highway or interstate system.
