Clark Hill rest area on U.S. 26 east of Ririe now open
RIGBY ‑ The Clark Hill safety rest area on U.S. 26, approximately six miles east of Ririe (milepost 359), is now open, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
Reconstruction of the rest area was completed Tuesday (July 22) and included renovating the rest area building, reconfiguring the site layout, enlarging parking areas, upgrading the water supply system, installing a new wastewater treatment system, placing new sidewalks and improving lighting.
Crews closed the rest area a year ago for the major renovation.
Ovard Construction Inc. of Idaho Falls was the contractor for the $2 million project.
