Construction on Idaho 22 west of Dubois under way
RIGBY ‑ Construction on Idaho 22 west of Dubois is under way, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
Crews will repave and seal coat six and one-half miles of Idaho 22 west of Dubois, from milepost 53 to 60, and widen six and one-half miles of this route, from milepost 47 to 54, extending each shoulder by two feet.
During construction, motorists can expect 10-minute delays.
The highway will be reduced to one lane, with flaggers directing eastbound and westbound traffic through the work zone. Construction will take place on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. The project is scheduled for completion in early September.
Drivers should anticipate unusual driving conditions, such as merging traffic, construction vehicles, flaggers and uneven surfaces.
When completed, the 13‑mile stretch of Idaho 22 will offer an improved roadway.
The Idaho State Police reminds motorists that fines double for moving violations in work zones. Information on highway construction projects in Idaho is available by dialing 5‑1‑1 or checking the Internet at 511.idaho.gov.
