Westbound I-84 onramp will be closed to Eagle Road traffic for three hours starting at midnight
BOISE - Eagle Road motorists turning westbound on I-84 Wednesday night (Aug. 13) will encounter a road closure for three hours as crews put a communications console in place at that intersection, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The onramp will be closed from midnight Wednesday through 3 a.m. Thursday. A crane is needed to put the prefabricated communications console into place.
Traffic will be detoured to the Meridian Interchange via Overland and Franklin roads.
ITD and the Idaho State Police warn motorists to slow down and pay attention when driving in work zones, where increased speeding fines and other penalties apply. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and dial 5-1-1 or visit 511.idaho.gov for information on the state highway or interstate system.
