PTAC to elect officers and review IMAP progress Tuesday (Aug. 26) in Boise
BOISE - The Public Transportation Advisory Council (PTAC) will meet Tuesday (Aug. 26) in Boise to elect officers and review the progress of Idaho's new public transportation plan, the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) announced.
PTAC members will attend the Idaho Transportation Funding Conference from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Boise Centre on the Grove. PTAC's regular meeting will continue from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at ITD's East Annex Conference Room, 3293 Jordan St.
The group will elect officers, review progress of Idaho's Mobility and Access Pathway (IMAP) plan, meet new public transportation staff, and learn more about district outreach activities.
PTAC's mission is to promote public transportation for all Idahoans by working to increase local and intercity services available in communities.
The council was created by the Idaho legislature to advise ITD on issues and policies regarding public transportation in Idaho. The group comprises six members appointed by the Idaho Transportation Board representing all regions of Idaho. Appointed members are representatives from local governments and agencies, private organizations, citizen groups and private transportation providers, and people with disabilities and the elderly who utilize public transportation.
PTAC meetings are open to the public. For more information, contact ITD's Division of Public Transportation at (208) 334-8281.
