Alameda Road reconstruction to begin next week; access limited
POCATELLO -- Access to Alameda from Pole Line Road will be closed at 7 a.m. Monday (Sept. 8) for reconstruction, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

The closure will be in effect for up to two days, barring unforeseen complications.  Contractors will grind existing pavement at the intersection of Pole Line and Alameda roads. Motorists should use McKinley for access to Alameda Road.

ITD asks drivers who drop off or pick up children at Lewis and Clark Elementary School to use the front entrance to the school.

Mickelsen Construction of Blackfoot is the contractor on the $2.3 million Federal Aid Project. ITD is administering the project for the city of Pocatello. Construction is expected to be completed by mid-October.
