South Boulevard Bridge on U.S. 26 in Idaho Falls to close Tuesday (Sept. 16) for resurfacing
RIGBY ‑ The South Boulevard Bridge on U.S. 26 (Yellowstone Highway) in Idaho Falls will close Tuesday (Sept. 16) for resurfacing, the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) announced.
ITD will close the exit to the bridge on Yellowstone Highway at 7 a.m. Tuesday.
Crews will steel‑shot blast the surface of the bridge and seal it with epoxy resin and crushed rock. The bridge, which carries traffic exiting onto South Boulevard from southbound lanes of Yellowstone Highway, will remain closed until the job is completed and sealant is cured Wednesday.
During construction, motorists can access South Boulevard below the bridge at 2nd Street. For information on other highway projects in Idaho, call 5‑1‑1 or visit 511.idaho.gov.
