ITD offers glimpse of state's public transportation vision and a survey opportunity
BOISE - People can learn about Idaho's public transportation vision and contribute to a survey on the current status of public transportation and mobility services throughout the state, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

A 30-minute Web-based presentation designed to introduce people to Idaho's Mobility and Access Pathway (IMAP) public transportation plan is offered Mondays through Fridays, except holidays, starting at 2 p.m.

The format for these presentations is a toll-free conference call for the audio portion and a Web site where slides can be viewed in real time from office or home. Comments or questions are welcome at any time during the virtual meeting.

To participate in the conference call, dial (888) 232-3870 and then enter code 995911. View the slides by logging on to https://www.webmeeting.att.com, enter meeting number (888) 232-3870 and then enter code number 995911, your e-mail address and name.

First-time users of Web Meeting may be prompted to activate Active X controls and/or download software to be able to access the meeting.

The daily presentations are intended to give individuals new to IMAP an introduction to the plan, its vision, structure and process. People also can learn how to get involved, what's coming and who to contact in their area.

ITD's Division of Public Transportation also has commissioned an online survey through Monday (Oct. 6) to determine the current status of public transportation and mobility services in Idaho. The division is gathering information from providers of public transportation and mobility services, from human service agencies and from current and potential users of any form of transportation other than a single-occupant automobile or pick-up truck.

Some individuals and organizations may qualify to participate in more than one of the three different surveys offered.

Access the surveys at http://www.lanresourcesllc.com/IMAP.html to get more information or begin the survey process.

For additional information about the daily presentations or the online survey, contact Brian Shea in the Division of Public Transportation at brian.shea@itd.idaho.gov or toll-free at (800) 527-7985.
