Lane closures at night on I-84 expected between Vista and Orchard Tuesday and Wednesday (Oct. 14-15)
BOISE - Nighttime I-84 lane closures are expected on Tuesday and Wednesday (Oct. 14-15) between the Vista and Orchard interchanges, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The closures will occur between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. both nights.
This is part of the ongoing project to build a soundwall north of westbound I-84 from Cole Road to Broadway Avenue. The wall will help reduce traffic noise for residents adjacent to I-84.
In addition, the westbound I-84 on-ramp entrance from southbound Broadway Avenue will be restricted for worker safety until December 2008.
The outside shoulder of westbound I-84 is closed to traffic. The speed limit is 55 mph. Flaggers on the westbound off-ramps of the Broadway, Vista and Orchard interchanges may stop traffic briefly for construction vehicles.
Record Steel and Construction Inc. (RSCI) of Meridian is the contractor on this $9.6 million soundwall project.
