New aerial survey begins Tuesday (Oct. 21) for Idaho 75 Timmerman to Ketchum project
SHOSHONE - Road survey crews will begin preparing this week for aerial surveying and mapping along the Idaho 75 corridor between Hailey and Ketchum as part of future reconstruction of the highway, the Idaho Transportation Department announced. Crews will begin tomorrow (Tuesday Oct. 21) and should be finished by the end of this week.
ITD is obtaining new aerial survey and mapping for the Timmerman-to-Ketchum reconstruction project to support design and development of right-of-way plans. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2012.
Field crews from Aero-Graphics of Salt Lake City will place targets along Idaho 75 between McKercher Boulevard in Hailey and Elkhorn Road in Ketchum. The targets will be used to guide aerial photography.
Most of the targets will be placed on public land, including highway rights-of-way. Targets will be removed after the aerial photography is completed.
Drivers are urged to use caution and watch out for workers and equipment.
